Well I was quite productive last night - I made beads AND 2 necklaces. Weeee (pics later).
Today I planned to attend the bead show in Charlotte. before I left I checked my mail and there was my box of "Nicole's gone crazy and giving away beads" beads. Wow - that's a bunch of beads!!!!!!!
I got to the show around 3:00 ( screwed up sleep pattern not helping for trips) so I only had 2 hours to play. And boy did I play! A Swarovski crystal seller that I had bought from at the Asheville show was there- and had all sorts of goodies! I'm surprised my wallet didn't say "please step away from the crystals". I also got some silver and Bali silver (everyone had it for .50/gram), picked up some cool midnight blue seed beads, a strand of small labodorite rounds, a strand of small amethyst rounds, some bigger mandrels, and 2 bead pins.
Even though I was limited on time, my timing regarding dealing with a crowd was good. I was told the place was packed until about 3:00 - I got there at
3:00, so I didn't have to deal with lots of other people around.I got to meet Lois Oster (an RCBer) and Beth Olson (bead maker of the year) and met a girl from near Asheville that makes beads- and she invited me to come to her studio. How cool. All in all a good day.
