single beads online?

I don't normally like posting requests like this, but I've been searching for hours a day, for a week. This is my last hope! ;o)

I'm looking to buy single beads, but I'm having a hard time locating places online that sell individually. I went through Sooz's links list, but can't find what I am looking for. Specifically, I need large ovals, between

15-25mm (glass or gem). I've found one or two places, but they charge as much as I could get a whole strand for. Does anyone know of a place? I only need a few, but I want them to be all different.

Here is a place that sells in smaller amounts.

I can vouch for the service. It's great, and fast shipping too. The prices are ok, but you will always get a better deal buying larger amounts. I don't know if they have what you need, but the web set up is easy to browse. The only other way you can get one to two beads is to shop in person and buy from a bowl of beads or something. HTH and good luck!

I don't mind selling individually - I always have bits and odds & ends here and there. Send me a list of what you want and I'll see what I can find. snipped-for-privacy@vibrantjewels.com

My LBS does sell all of their beads singly, but they are pretty limited, with just the basics (rounds, leaves, and that's about it;o). The prices are pretty good, though.

I know I can get a better price-per-bead buying strands or bulk, but I only need one to three of any particular bead; I have paid $6 for three beads, bought individually, though I could have gotten a strand of 15 for $12. But I would have paid $6 more for 12 beads I would never have used. (did that make sense? I'm a little foggy today...)

Thanks for the link:o) I had been there once before, months ago, but I will go check them out again, now that I am looking for something specific:o)

Happy holidays!

Have you considered buying the strand and then reselling the ones you don't use, on eBay or to people in a nearby bead group? I mostly deal in finished items, but I've found that having some small packages of beads on my table at cons can also produce significant sales.

I hadn't thought of that, but it's a great idea:o) Thanks!
