Today's edition of craters coast to coast has a jewelry maker/bead maker. Kinda neat - EXCEPT that she said using a fiberglass blanket will properly anneal the beads. Some cool designs though.
Now to finish my journey to Asheville to start the cleaning, sorting, purging, and storing.
Thanks - but I would have been a bit late for dinner :) I flew into Atlanta and my flight didn't land until almost mid-night. The I needed to drive to Asheville -made it Gainsville and decided to stop for the night.
I'm in Ashveille now so I can start moving stuff into storage (my landlady has decided my cats can't move back into the Ashveille house so I'm not either).
I think I'm going to look for a place in east Tn - near the Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park.

I'm really wondering how long this show will last, at least in its present format. It's too ... goofy. JMHO.
I bet they tell the artist to behave in as silly a manner as possible; do you recall seeing *one* who hasn't? (Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you look at it, I could do this easily.) And that camerawork.. with all the crazy angles and movement...AAAAGH -- I feel seasick!
Yeah, I wondered about the fiberglass blanket --- and I don't even do glasswork!
I haven't yet been impressed with the polymer clay; everyone uses *plain white* and PAINTS it! With all the lovely colors that PC comes in, as well as all the possibilities with mixing, WHY do they paint it? Yuck!
Just saw it again today and you are right - Goofy!! Yesterday was the 1st I'd seen and I only caught the one segment so I thought maybe it was just the artist. I thought it was very strange when she was explaining her tools that she picked up a pair of split ring pliers and said something like - I don't know what these do/are, but I like them. Geez.
They had another lampworker today (boro) and she did have a kiln and made a cool pendant. She wasn't as silly.
