Review of the Provo Craft Silent Setter

My PC Silent Setter arrived in the mail today. I have one word to describe this tool. INCREDIBLE!

If you use eyelets for embellishments I highly recommend you purchase this tool. It is simple to use and completely SILENT.

A simple downward push with light pressure and a slight twist creates the hole. A simple downward push with light pressure and a slight twist sets the eyelet.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this tool. Did I mention that I love this tool? :-)

So far everyone has said wonderful things about the Silent Setter. I'll have to look into getting one. Where did you order yours from? I don't see them advertised anywhere. I must be looking in the wrong areas.

Hi Chrissy,

I found the Silent Setter on the web at:

and

but the setter happened to be out of stock at both websites when I went to order it. Luckily I found one on Ebay. The seller on Ebay was FANTASTIC. Seller id: happyscrapinscrapbooking Hope that helps!

Awesome!! I've seen it in the magazines. Do you by chance know if it is different then the clik-it by Karen Foster. I've seen that in the scrapbook stores.

DS would love it if I got one. If he is awake when I whackie-whackie, then he always closes the door to my craft room. He'll tell me "Mommy, you're making too much noise!" LOL I kinda like hammering, though.

Hi Tabitha,

The Silent Setter is very different from the clik-it. My LSS carries the clik-it line and I was able to try it out at the store. I personally found the clik-it difficult and cumbersome to use. It requires both hands, one to hold the handle, the other to pull the spring thingy and it isn't silent.

The silent setter is definitely silent. And it only takes one hand to push down and twist. I love this thing.

If I lived near you I would let you out my new tool! I think it's awesome.

Yeah when I saw the clik-it in the store and saw her try it out, I didn't like it because it still made noise. I always have to do my eyelets before my little one goes to bed.

I'm going to the scrapbook store tomorrow so I'm hoping she has one in. I really want to see how silent it is. Cause it may be worth the money to get one if its really silent :)

Thank you. That's very nice of you.

Hi Deb,

I am enamored with this gadget. There is absoloutely no noise. It's an amazing little invention. I LOVE this thing!

I can't wait until tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to do some scrapping and go eyelet crazy. My husband has been out of town all week. My five year old has been sick all week, my fourteen year old has had activities every night, and my workload has been crazy. I've had zero 'me time'. Calgon, take me away! :-) I really hope to get a couple of hours of scrapping in tomorrow.

I'm hosting a Stampin Up party Sunday afternoon. I will definitely have to bring out my Silent Setter to show everyone.

Marcia! I hope your weekend is better than your week! Have fun at your Stampin Up party, and here's hoping you get some "me" time tomorrow.

Thanks for the well wishes everybody! I definitely need them. =) Lucky for me I telecommute and have a very understanding boss. I shudder to think what my week would have been like if I had a job that I had to commute to or an a##hole boss.

My little guy's temperature spiked to 103 this afternoon. He should be getting better, not worse, so I'm taking him to the pediatrician at

2:40 just to make sure he doesn't have something besides a very bad virus.

My husband phoned me and he is sick. He's been in Vegas for a tradeshow which ends today but he's staying through Sunday to spend time with his sister who currently lives in Vegas. She is a student at a surgery tech school there.
