Advent Calendar

Aloha Lynne, Your advent calendar turned out great! I saw the tutorial at SCS the other day and thought about giving it a try. Looks like it was a lot of fun!

It was fun, but a bit pricey. Had to buy the favor tins and the canvas board. Everything else I used from my stash. Funny story... I had bought the flower like punch that I used to make the peppermints. It was SO hard to punch I ended up returning it. I have this lever like device to use on difficult punchs. I had never used it. When this punch was so difficult I dragged it out. I not only couldn't punch it freehanded I couldn't even get it to punch with the lever. I then put it on the floor. Using my left foot to hold the punch and lever in place I used my right foot to put enough pressure on it to get it to punch. Man was it hard. I did enough to finish my project and then returned the punch. No punch should be that hard.

Well, the peppermints look great! Sorry it was so rough though. You're right, nothing should be that hard. I thought I had it rough using my crop-a-dile to punch through that acrylic. No way does it compare to that story!

Which flower punch was it so I know to avoid that one in the future :)

If you look at just the red or green parts of the design you'll see the shape. I use the word flower loosely. I'm not sure what the shape is... flower, star, windmill?
