Hi all I not long returned from the post office and after consideration and this last posting of the circle journal at a cost of $37.00 I have decided that i can not continue this as it is. Therefore I have two options or rather those involved do. Please read the following two options and reply to me via email. I regreet I have to do this since it was great reading about others however I will just have to wait till mine lands here ---- which is another question -- do you want to just return mione and not put any more entries in it since I cant snipped-for-privacy@optushome.com.au

option 1. I no longer am involved in this and no further circke journals come via Australia.

option 2. Those that still want me to add a page in their journal can email me with the page size and the topic of the email and i send the pages seperately

Thanks and hugs and very sorry but I still have another journal to post at this price - which i think is unbelievable lol Shaz ps Angela im sooo sorry but youll have to post onto mel next

Hi,

I am not in this circle journals, but I would think it's best for each of you to make a page about yourself and mail it to the person who is involve in the circle journal (that way each of you buy your own binder). Like if there is 5 people in this circle journal - make 5 pages and mail one to each person.

I would like to know more about this circle journal. Email me at snipped-for-privacy@insightbb.com ok. Thanks!!!!!!

hey shaz....in my opinion, do not feel bad at ALL... i don't think anyone ever expected the postage to get that high, and it's rediculous for you to pay that. as for my 2 cents, the decision is up to you. i would still be MORE than glad to keep your journal in the running. it's only costing me $2-3 per package to send on. as for everyone else's pages, whatever you feel comfortable doing is fine by me. would it easiest for you if everyone sent you their theme and page size, then you could send them all back to the states together? we could separate and send on from one location here. i'd be glad to do that for you. or, if you'd rather, you could step out completely now. under the circumstances, it is positively beligerent for you to continue as is. there are too many other options that will make everyone happy and keep you from paying SOOO much. this was never intended to be an expensive venture for anyone. we love you, shaz, and want you to participate in whatever level you feel comfortable!!! there's my opinion, fwiw, lori shay louisville

hey marcie, the circle journals started a few months ago, and were intended to be a simple "getting to know you" type circle, where everyone's journal traveled in a circle so that each person would have a page from all of the others. there are about 20 people involved in the circle, and everyone has a different theme and a different album size. we considered just mailing pages, but then we would lose out on getting to see everyone else's work as they passed through our hands, and that was a part of the fun of it, so we kept it as is. however, none of us ever DREAMED that the postage between countries could get so exhorbitant. using media mail, i'm only paying $2-3 per album in the states, but the two people sending to and from other countries have really gotten the brunt of it all. each circle journal has a pocket or envelope that we are all trying to drop a bit of money in so that when the journals reach these people, it will help to defray the cost. however, at the rates shaz describes, the cost is still totally excessive. so...there's the long and short of what these journals are all about. lori shay louisville

Shaz,

I agree with Lori! I don't think any of us would want to have to pay the kind of postage you have paid. I think it should be up to you at this point - whether you want to continue to do any pages to send back to us. If that is an expense that you can "afford", then I think many of us would love to have pages to attach or slip into our journals. If it's better for you to drop out completely, then, by all means, please do so. We all care about you and totally understand.

As for your circle journal, I think most of us would be content to continue putting pages in yours....wonder where it is.....

Oh! That would be ME!!! I have yours and am almost finished with it and also Angela's. I've been two-timing:o)

I want to keep yours going Shaz and I too would love a page for mine from you. Please don't feel bad, it's expensive. No two ways about it. I think we can make it so you can still get your done and do pages for ours with alittle adjusting.

I am sure that all of us agree from what I have read so far about the $37.00 being way to much to pay per journal to ship them. I do not blame you one bit for wanting to get out of that. I would not be able to afford that either. I have already put my page in your journal so there is no option there for me, but personally, I would have done it anyway for you. I would like to have a page from you in my journal, especially since you were going to be the last entry. "Saving the best for last right?" I have attacked the post man because you said you sent a journal on so I have a special bond about receiving mail. I think he has gotten used to our crazy family between the scrap stuff we do and DH's addiction to Ebay. Back to subject: If you do not think that you can afford to send everyone that wants pages for their journals at this time I would understand that, but maybe one of these days. I will save a space in my journal for your page. and when ever you want to send it I will put it in there.

Isn't postage ridiculous! That's way to much to pay. I respect whatever you decide and would still want to do yours. I would love you to contribute to my journal but even doing individual layouts and sending them can add up, are you sure you want to do this? Barb:o)

Hi Shaz.. I read all the comments from the others and now will give you mine... I agree with all... I would not be able to afford that high price either. However, I will be glad to do a page in yours. How expensive would it be for you to send us each one page? If that can be managed, that is fine, if not.. no problem, I totally understand... hugs Neets

would it be cheaper to send all the pages to one person here and they distribute them as they get that persons book? Or people maybe can send you a SASE and part of the cost for your page. We'll just work together so we can have your pages and you get your journal done too. Tara

i almost fell off my chair reading that it cost you $37 to mail a cj.......... oh my stars. #1 i say that since your journal is here we finish it up for you as planned, because we want to.. # 2 i would love to have pages done by you for my journal and am willing to send you pages and postage and i'll put them in whenever. please don't feel bad . let the group toss about some ideas and maybe it could be that one person will send you our pages to do and then you return them to that person for distribution and maybe we could help cover the postage for that. i for one want you to participate in whatever way we can make happen.

Shaz,

I didn't participate but this was something I had just thought of... those wanting to finish it up, can send to one person who then would send it on back to you. Coming back the other way, I'm not sure how to work it out.

I wish you the best in sorting it all out :)

Shaz,

Do not feel bad at all, I totally understand the cost of shipping back to the states. I think we should finish your album, since it's already here. The cost to ship it amongst us in the states is minimal. I like the idea of having one central person here (me I'm thinking because I started this whole hullabaloo), we can post what your journal topic is and everyone who hasn't already completed a page can do one or two and send to me... I'm thinking I can then include in one of my regular shipments to Angela and that will keep the cost down... but is it cheap for Angela to ship to you or is that expensive as well?

But... I also don't want Angela to feel the same way as you, as I'm sure the cost is similar for her to send back to the states... Angela? Are you out there? What is your opinion?

As for you completing pages and mailing them, that is completely up to you. I think the cost would get up there as well shipping pages back here, but maybe you can do it in one shipment to me and I can split up to the appropriate people? I know you already did a page in mine, so I'm covered!!! :-)

Seriously though, let us know what you think. The circle journals were never intended to be a burden, and I'm sorry it got to this. I should have weighed the concerns over postage before I started my venture.

I also agree with everyone here. I hate the cost of postage these days! It always gets you! I would love to put in a page in your journal, and if you find it affordable I would love it more to get a page from you! But I totally understand if you can't. I must say that I think one box of 20 pages for a one time fee would be much cheaper then 20/20 page journals....lol. And maybe we could all donate one dollar for the remainder of the your journal, so that when you get it back you will have like $18 to help pay to send out the pages to one person in the us and then they can send them from there? I don't know, just a thought. Or maybe we could just rak you with something and a dollar....lol. Karissa
