Could you help, please? Storage

Hello. I have a storage problem I would like some advice on please. I scrapbook with 12 x 12 exclusively, this makes finding affordable storage for my paper and cardstock very difficult. Presently, I'm using the coated wire kind that you can configure in various squares and rectangles. They were originally meant for closet storage, but I got them cheap at a yard sale and have "made do". I'd like to cover some cardboard type boxes with lids in cloth or pretty paper to keep my paper in, but I can't find any that are 12" high. Staples has the general cardboard File boxes approx. 10" high-12" wide-24" long. Those are the "type" of boxes I'd like to use as they are very sturdy, but they're not tall enough. I can't afford the stackable paper storage alot of the online sb stores have, I recently saw them onsale for $50!!!, way beyond my means. Any suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you. Linda in NC

Would hanging files work? Some where on the web (if this will work for you I'll help you find it) are directions for making 12X12 hanging files. I've heard they work well in the mesh cube storage by having one area open on the top rather than the side.

Cropper Hopper makes 12 x 12 plastic paper storage files that look like magazine holders. I got them at my lss for about $5. They also have dividers that you can get for about $4 for 3.

Tonight in Wal-mart in the craft dept (in the scrapbook asile) they had a sturdy box that had a lid and latch and inside was folders (that aren't removeable) that is perfect for 12x12 paper storage. The box was $14.99. The box is like one of the accoridan file folders (similar to that). I'm going to pick one up next pay day.

Hi Linda, I forget who posted this link but here is an interesting way to store paper. Then best part is that the box is acid free also. Here is the link:

I wonder if the storage chest will fit into the wire shelves. I have two of the 12x12 chests from highsmith for my paper right now, but they are setting on top of my file cabinet. The wire shelving would be easier to use rather than building yet another set of wooden book type cases to hold the chests. It would make them easier to get to. Now I have to pull the drawer completely out to look in it. Sandy
