DAVE ROCKS!

I think I've just received a RAK!!!! Yesterday there was a postal slip in our postbox to pick up a package at the post office. I thought nothing of it, as I am expecting something from my sister. When I picked it up today, it was a HUGE envelope from DAVE!!! (It was so thick and huge the postman could not get it into our postbox).

Dave THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You really are the bestest!!!! This was TOTALLY unexpected and made my month! Nevermind my day :)) I've never seen some of these goodies in our Scrapbook shops. I really feel priviledged.

This was in my package:

  • A page of Simple Sayings - I've been admiring LO's in the CK magazine and was planning to try this!
  • Rub-on Text by Heidi Brace - also something new for me, can't wait to try it!
  • Stickers by Phrase Cafe - Beautiful
  • 12 Vellum Sheets for each month of the year. These are GORGEOUS! I LOVE the colours and style :)
  • Tags by Paper Loft - stunning landscape scenes
  • 3 packs of beautiful "olde worlde" type stickers by k & Co
  • Die Cuts by Kathy Davis - also never used Die Cuts befor
  • Stunning Laser Die Cuts
  • Hambly and Sandylion Stickers - the Sandylion stickers are of parrots - my brother breeds with parrots and this will be GREAT for a LO for him :))) How did you know??
  • Bubble - a - bilities 3d stickers - I love 3d stuff!!
  • Adorable Jolee Tea-time stickers
  • 2 Sheets of gorgeous Sunflower Stickers - these are really very special
  • Cutsy Heart Stickers by Mrs Grossman and then finally, loads of strips of square accents in the most beautiful colours! I've never seen these befor and still have to figure them out.

Dave, I don't have the words to thank you, but I really appreciate this! This must have cost you a fortune, not to mention the postage! Now there's just one problem. The goodies are so stunning and special, I don't think I'll ever have the heart to use them! :)

Thank you so very much once again! It's people like you that give one faith in this ole wolrd of ours. You are a star!

Dave certainly does rock and he's very, very sneaky, too! He always seems to send the perfect things to you. I think he reads minds. LOL

Judy, you are so ever much welcome!!! Those colored strips that have you befuddled, well those are custom handmade (very timely and painstakingly I might add!) using the small pieces of scraps that are left over and are called Mosiac strips.

You can use them for accents on a page, page borders or even picture borders. There is supposed to be a specific method of making them, but of course I do them MY WAY!! I make them in coordinating colors and take the time and cut the scraps in same size pieces to put them on my mat and ten cut them in various width strips. Anyway they are made with LOVE and PRIDE!!!!

Finally, No Judy the stuff I sent was not all that expensive. I seldom buy ANYTHING at regular price. I catch sales and especially going out of business ones and clearance ones!! Mama taught me well let me tell ya!! I was really surprised though at how cheap it was to send it all to you!! Of course it was only a 8.5x11 envelope!!!

{{{HUGS}}} and much enjoyment!!

nada for 05 (unless redoing or adding to pages counts!)

Hey Judy, Please take a picture of the Mosaic strip that Dave sent to you. It sounds like a fantastic use of scrap paper.

Oh that just gave me a neat idear! Take strips of cardstock, run them through a paper crimper, then weave them for a groovy backgroud!! Ok, so maybe I'm losing my mind, but it sounds interesting to me....that or I'm more tired than I think I am.

If they're just straight strips of paper you could weave them too. I love the look of weaved paper on lo's.

Those colored strips that have you

Dave, have anyone ever told you that not only are you kind and generous you also are very creative and brilliant! I would never have thought to use my strips left over after a LO like that. And I always feel so "guilty", wondering what I could do with them. Thanks for the great idea.

Oh, yes, forgot to ask....who is David Thomas?

Judy, Thanks for posting the photos. Dave, that is a very creative idea for using the bits and pieces of paper. Good job.
