Dorothy, I am guessing there are embellishments in the box. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. 8^)

I saw a post nested under another post about what Sandy took and that the box was going to be mailed to Linda either yesterday or today. I can't for the life of me find where I read that post yesterday. Maybe you can find it.

I found Sandys post!! Linda

Finally got a chance to go through the box. Such decisions - there was so much neat stuff in it. It is really stuffed.

I took:

2 pieces of ribbon - red striped and Christmas a set of metal strip embellishments (something else to try alcohol inks on) a pkg of Susan Branch 3-D stickers 2 sets of stickers an embroidered tag 2 frog buttons and a lady bug one 4 charms 3 buttons 1 monkey and 2 bingo chips for my game LO 2 acrylic embellishments with metal around the edges (don't know what they are called, but they are neat for a heritage LO)

What I added: ribbon piece

4 dragonfly brads 4 mesh heart eyelets mini playing cards some chipboard shapes Family chip art tag KF alpha-winks a set of party charms pkg sticky stitches embroidered sticker title Li'l Davis bubble phrases KF metal tag lines And because the newsgroup has been discussing microscope slides I added 4 slides and some metal tape in a package

Just wanted to let Linda and everyone else know the box did make it out in the mail today. It's just heading north and across the state line so maybe she will get it in just a couple of days as all of our mail goes straight to the Terre Haute main office for sorting.

After I got back from the post office the library called me about the scrapbook program I had agreed to do for the summer reading program for adults. The theme is "Paws, Claws, Scales, & Tales." I remembered the cute little cat button set in the embellishment box. Does anyone know where it came from? There were several buttons including four cats, each with a letter that spelled out "meow". I'm thinking about doing a mini album with a pet theme. Then they can take it home and add pictures. Sandy

Sandy, the cat buttons are from a line called "Dress It Up", little packs of all kinds of buttons, with shanks and without. The cat letters are one of their page title selections. I found them at Hobby Lobby. They also have packs with assorted little cats, and miniature pawprints. They also have little dogs, though I haven't yet seen a dog title. I have another set (though the packaging is gone) that I haven't used yet. I can send them to you if you like.

Mel, That would be great if you don't mind. I will try to get to Hobby Lobby next weekend to see what I can find. I wanted to make one in advance and then give them a few things to use along with a bunch of ideas to embellish their mini albums with.

I hope I'm not getting in over my head with all of these "free" volunteer programs I do. I can't seem to say no - probably because I really like to do this and I just love to get someone new started scrapbooking.

On the plus side I am doing a class at the LSS in August for pay. They asked me to teach a class using the flower mini album.

Sandy I got the embellishment box today! Thanks for sending it so quickly! When I get a chance to go through it and replenish it, I will post what I took!

Also, Sandy, those Jesse James Dress it up things you were asking about are at HL and they are 50% off THIS week! You surely are a busy lady! I dont know how you do it! :-)
