Eyelet Question

Ok, now this is going to sound really stupid to you all, when I first was introduced to scrapping (in August this year), I became so excited and went berserk buying lots of different papers, stickers etc... Well, I also shop on eBay from time to time, and I found that eBay have a LOT of scrapping stuff... so back then I bid on a packet of eyelets, and WON!! (woohooo) That's all well and good... but I have no idea what to do with them... lol. The ad said you use them on cards or on scrapping pages etc... How?

I have never used anything other than paper, card, stickers and pens, but I so want to use them, if I just knew what I was doing!!

Any help from you guys in the know is appreciated.

hey skye....you'll LOVE eyelets once you get the hang of them. first, though, you're going to have to have the right tools. you'll need a hole punch to drop them into, then an actual "eyelet setter" to smash the back down on them. a good pounding mat (self healing mat or block of wood) and a hammer will complete the package. other people here will be able to give you a lot better specifics on what's out there right now and where to get it, etc. in regards to the tools. as far as uses for eyelets, they are only limited by your imagination! they're great as just accents on a matte, or to hold vellum in place. they make adorable flower centers or wheel middles. there are thousands of things you'll be able to use them for once you start using them and thinking about it. good luck, and have fun! lori shay louisville
