Went shopping today....

Well... I thought I'd take some time out while Tim is at school and try to finish off the xmas shopping. This morning I had 5 of my nephews still to buy for and my Kris Kringle (something the adults do in our family, we each pull out a name and buy something for them so it's not so expensive buying for EVERYONE). So, thinking that I had a good 4 hours to myself, I hit the shops!!!

So, now that I am home, I STILL have 3 nephews to buy for and of course, my Kris Kringle!!! What did I do in all that time??? Well, I spent a little on myself.... here's what I bought...

A xmas scrapbook kit which includes:

6 x 12x12 1 sided papers 4 x 12x12 2 sided papers 2 x sticker sheets 18 Die-cut shapes, frames and borders.

A themed Sport Scrapbook kit which includes:

6 strips of fancy borders 3 x sticker sheets (106 sport stickers) 1 x photo shape template (6 different shapes) 5 x 12x12 pattered papers 4 x 12x12 2 sided coloured papers 1 x white 12x12 sheet (This kit will be perfect for scrapping the photos from DH's acheivements at the Masters Games in Oct).

7 x Packets of handmade xmas stickers, some of which are 3D, just beautiful for cards or candles or scrapping!!

2 x packets of metallic paper, each containing 6 different colours.

5 x assorted size plain candles, which I'm going to decorate with some of the xmas stickers and ribbons etc... I think they'll make really nice gifts.

And the non-scrap related stuff?? Well, I got a stocking for Tim to hang for Santa, and I bought 2 of my nephews a nice shirt each for xmas.

All in all, I'd say I had a productive outing, and I know I was a little selfish buying for myself like that, but when you think about it, all of the things I bought will be put to use in making gifts for other people anyhow. So, I'm not really THAT selfish!!! hehehe!

Anyone else relate to my shopping experience?

luv Cec...xxx

Can I plead the right to remain silent on the grounds that it will incriminate me? LOL DH & I did go coat & clothes shopping Saturday for the kids. Found all kinds of cute clothes for 7 yr old DD, but only 1 cute set for 4 yr old DS. Why is it that the clothing manufacturers find it so hard to make cute little boy clothes? All I saw was suits, sweaters, button-up shirts, and of course pants/jeans. (The one cute outfit is Spider Man overalls.) He wears uniforms for school, so all he needs is some clothes to run around and play in. Call me nuts, but I don't see the point in putting a sweater on him to run around and play in! That's if I could get him to wear the sweater. He's not crazy about sweaters because he gets too hot. So no wonder he has so many sweat pants & sweat shirt sets! LOL
