Sounds great Cec....it will be fun to meet with others with a common interest. I just scrap alone because as yet I haven't found anywhere that I would want to go and scrap or met up with anyone that would come and scrap here! You will have such fun getting ready for your Valentine's Day scrapping day...yeah!!!! :o)

Oh yes... I'm sure we'll both be going along... I can't wait, I even went out and bought some more stickers today (happy birthday ones)... It's Em's little mans 1st b'day party this coming saturday, so I figure I might do his b'day pages up on the scrappy day! See, I can be organised (sometimes...LOL)

Sounds like fun. Time to start making page kits. There's nothing I like better than a crop. I may not get a lot done, but I bring back lots of ideas. And where else can you get your hands on the latest tools to play with? I got to play around with one of the EK Success Fastenaters last Saturday. Dd found out it really works well to staple paperbag albums together. They have so many cute staples to go with it. Something else to add to my want list... Sandy

Guess what... The scrappy day that we were going to, for "young mums".... LOL, I am too old to go!!! When Em rang to get the details, the lady told her that they wanted to keep the ages under 25!!! omg, I couldn't believe when Em told me! LOLOL... just when I was trying to keep my chin up at turning 30 in April, this happens.... it's too funny really. So, I guess we'll just have to scrap at home together then...

Really... that is age discrimination, LOL! Maybe they should consider doing it for first time mums instead... after all there is a unique exhilaration and terror that I would suspect all first time moms share. But then again... who needs them if they are so losed minded. (ROFLOL)

I agree it should be for first time mom's at any age... the feelings are no different if you're 20 or 40. I have a friend pushing forty and she has a year old child and even though she was a nanny for years she's totally got new momitus. Watching her put her baby album together is fun. I'm encouraging her not to get far behind with it like I did. I had no one to encourage me.

Another post that hasn't come through to me Cec :o( Sorry you are just "too old" poor darling LOL ....*ducking that flying object* I think that is a very agest & discriminatory and I am truly surprised, since Oz was so easy going when we lived there :o) Guess the politically correct brigade have had a field day everywhere! Makes me wonder though if anyone will turn up since many career-oriented women wait until the 35+ to even start thinking about having a family LOL Stupid people....*walking off shaking head in disbelief*

Take care, Marilyn

Well, isn't she just a little snot!

This sounds ridiculous! I don't think I'd even shop there anymore!

Their loss Cec, you can come & scrap here anytime, if you don't mind scrapping with a 46 year old(LOL)

Cec, You should have asked her what the low end of the age range was if 25 was the high.....and if they were checking ID. Sandy

That's my thoughts exactly Marilyn, it's ridiculous to put an age limit on something like this. But, thems the breaks, and now I know there's a good reason why we stay home and scrap on our own... LOL.

LOL, thanks Trish, it is silly. It wasn't a crop in my LSS though, it is a day at the community centre, so no chance of shopping there anyway. It was disappointing as I was looking forward to going to meet other mums etc, but it just wasn't meant to be...LOL.

I agree M-C, there are a lot of first time mums, that are in their late 20's to even early 40's. I'd understand I guess if it was a playgroup for the kids, and have an age limit on the kids, but what is the use of having an age limit on supposed "adults"? Can't a bunch of adult women (mixed ages) sit around happily and scrap together getting ideas etc from one another....LOL. Gosh, my Grandma (81yrs), has a regular crop day with her friends (all who range in age from their 20's to 80's), Em and I have tagged along a couple of times, and had a wonderful time. Scrapping does not lean itself to any particular age, IMO.

Thanks Lynne, it's good to see that I'm not the one who is crazy.... LOL

That's just wrong. LOL What, moms 30 and older don't need a break, too? I know this almost 32 yr old mom needs a break every now and then!
