Love the clowns!! Thank you.

One of my goals during this 5-week break was to learn needleturn appliqué. Thank goodness I'm only halfway through break because I haven't even gotten the DVD out of the case!

If you haven't done it yet, go read the Family Dirt. There are some hilarious stories in there. Debra in VA See my quilts at

The Piece O' Cake DVD. I think I learned needleturn as a kid. I know I did some kind of hand appliqué way back when. And I sure wouldn't have known how to use the blanket stitch on a sewing machine then. I don't think that stitch existed on machines in them days!

I'm stopping the world and getting off for a few says -- back to Cincinnati to visit Mom. We'll watch some Lawrence Welk reruns and hopefully hit a few fabric stores. I'm actually looking forward to refreshing my brain by flushing it out a little.

Ooooh! Thanks for posting this site! I bookmarked it right away - too much good stuff there and too little time to check it all out. I did download a couple of their patterns and signed up for their newsletter.

Thanks Jeanne. Great site. Did you read any of the 'Family Dirt'. If not, be sure to go to the bathroom before hand and not have any liquids in your mouth at the time. I think she needs a spew warning on her site for those!!!
