Dorothy, if you see a red head wandering around looking completely overwhelmed and a smoking credit card that would be me :-)

Hi All, Well let me tell ya. I was so overwhelmed by all the good stuff!!! I will accumulate a list of things and post what I got tomorrow. I am actually thinking about going back tomorrow for a bit. We shall see. They had quite a few make and takes. One booth had these pages that have movement to them. You do need to make a slice in your page protector to make the piece exposed, but I gotta tell ya they were so Cool!! Of course I purchased 4 of them and got one free. I am hoping that I can use them as a template and make my own as they were $9.00 each. As far as inks; what do you all use and do you like one over another. They had Alcohol inks, walnut inks, solvent inks. They all seemed to use a glue called Diamond Glaze. If anyone has used it, how do you like it. Rusty Pickle was there. Love there line but I must say I was overwhelmed!!! I also purchased a Hot Mama pad/paper thingy and some Lucy Fiber. Please let me know if any of you have used the above. If they are good I will go back tomorrow and pick them up.

God Bless, Dorothy in NY

We'll see.

Darn it.

Linda, When is the one in Indy? I might be able to get away for a day. A friend of mine who lives there has been after me to come up for a visit. Sandy

Dorothy, I love the loosie fibers. I have most of the colors and the hot mama pad. I have a butterfly tag in my webshots - New Techniques Album - last two photos. The Diamond Glaze is wonderful. You can use it on about anything to make it look shiney and raised - sort of like the clear acrylic bubbles. Sounds like you had a great time. Can't wait to see what you do with a LO with movement.

Wow did I have fun. Went with my sister, SIL and two friends.

We took 3 classes, SEI bag album kit (20 6x6 pages in 1.5 hours), Basic Grey (12x12 2 page layout) and Quick Quotes (20 6x6 pages in an hour). I liked the SEI class, the papers were nice, the instructor knew what she was doing and I learned some new techniques. Loved the Basic Grey for the papers alone, they were fabu and I am always intimidated by them because they are so busy, those class kits included a lot of extras like a whole nother 2 page layout and a full chipboard monogram alphabet. The QQ class was described as childhood memories, thought they would be my own but in reality it was an album dedicated to your own child. Not having kids this was not so much for me, I will finish it and gift it to a friend.

The expo was smaller than the last one I went to but they had a lot of good vendors. I just wanted to touch everything :-) ended up buying some grid papers for mosaic layouts, some discontinued class kits from the Basic Grey class, adhesive, chipboard swirls and arrows, a CTMH idea book (Cherish), some small canvases to make mini books and a pair of cutterbee teflon scissors (because I forgot to bring scissors with me).

I got to try alcohol inks, distress inks, liquid chalks, painting chipboard embelishments, pocket pages and ribbon flowers.

All in all a good day, very exhausting, left the house at 7:30 am and didn't return until 7:30 pm. I would definitely do another one.But don't think my wallet will let me for a while:-) My sister and SIL told me that I should have entered pages in the layout contest, next time I probably will.

cheers, Lenora

Sounds like you had a great time too. I think of all the classes I've taken at conventions the SEI are the best. Isn't playing with new stuff and learning new techniques fun??? Glad you enjoyed yourself, Sandy

Sounds like a ton of fun! I can't wait to see what you do with the LO with movement. I've never done one myself, but have wanted to.
