Is anyone else here left-handed?

I'm a lefty, but only to write and eat. Everything else I do right handed. I guess it is because all the people around me were right handed, so that is the way I was taught to do things. Sorry I can't help you since I don't use left handed scissors.

same here. i'm left-handed but i learned to cut right-handed cause i never had left-handed scissors growing up. i can still remember picking up scissors as a child and wondering why they didn't work.

I do everything left handed which may be the reason that I adapt so easily in a right handed world.

I have the Fiskars leftie scissors (red handled) for larger things. I also have a pair of tiny scissors for fine cutting that seem to work with either hand. Maybe they are so small that the opposing forces on the blades don't get a chance to exert themselves. :-)

I used to be right-handed until I had a stroke. Then I had to learn to be left-handed. All the scissors I already had just wouldn't work! I was sure I could alter what I was doing to *make* them work ... but I couldn't. Today my husband will grab my scissors off my desk to do some quick thing, then return them with a curse. :-) Probably if he could use them he'd appropriate them. So there are advantages. :-)
