I got a flyer in th email yesterday from USPS about Free pickup of packages, and other services they are offering from home. So I went to the website and started looking around. It being government created, it is not easy, especially when it came to printing out a shipping label, customs forms, etc.
Anyhow just out of curiosity looked at how long it would take to send packages to a couple overseas areas. WOW, was I shocked, not only at how much it would cost, BUT the time it takes to get there.
But I seem to remember from last year when people sent stuff to our overseas members that they did not get it till late.
So maybe this ought to be a "HELLO" to anyone in here that may have a overseas SS, that they may need to get their parcels in mail PRONTO, without breaking the bank!
It makes me wonder about Canada? I know their customs is a pain so guess better start my ball rolling to get stuff in mail too. i want my SS to be happy on their day too!!
So just a heads up and maybe needle ya'll to get things out early!
