Nice scrapbook work/storage furnitue

Hi all, My wife is really big into scrapbooking and she currently does her work on a card table in our living room. I would like to get her something nicer and maybe more functional. The room is large and full of maple and oak so size isn't a problem, I just want it to look nice. Sauder website has a large wardrobe like closet with a table that folded down, but I'm not sure if I wanted a huge Sauder piece in the living room. Nothing against Sauder stuff, I have plenty of it. I just like solid maple/pine/oak better. Any suggestions, advice, or sites? TIA.

Hi Dave,

I take up the dining room table and 3 card tables when I'm working on projects -- which unfortunately is all the time. :-)

This is my fantasy piece and it just might work for your wife:

It looks like an armoire but with nooks and crannies for all her stamps, paper, scissors, etc. Some day I'll get one. Off to do dishes, Kate

She usually takes up one table and maybe it creaps out a little from there. But she has a big nylon bag and a few boxes laying around also.

That sure does look like a nice set up. Where did you get the pic and where can I get this piece. Thanks for the help.

HI.

I found the picture under

under the sub topic Crafts and then the sub sub topic Scrapbooking then look under storage ideas.

It then closes up to look like a nice piece of every day furniture. I'm sure you can adapt something like this to anything found in IKEA. I used a computer desk cabinet until we moved into my in-laws and it didn't fit (height wise) in the basement. :-(
