OT: Another Article about Savannah

Please take a moment to read the article published this week on my little buddy Savannah! And keep the family in your prayers. They will finally hear this week if Ana's sister is a match for Savannah. If so the transplant could be in a couple of weeks.

One of the things we learned as a result of the crop is that a liver transplant is very expensive, before, during and after. There was a little 4 yr old boy with the same desease as Savannah and her mom told Ana that they had raised over $210,000 and they were already running out of money and that is with insurance! And need I ask, is your Organ donor card signed? Do you loved ones know that you are an organ donor? do they understand why this is important to you? Please do take a moment to sign your donor card if you haven't already. There are more than 97,000 people in the US alone waiting for an organ and one person can save as many as 8 people! That is my challenge to you... raise your hand and sing out if you are an organ donor!

My new driver's license says "organ donor" on it. I also have a living will and a medical statement that is part of my will.

MC, go ahead and cash the check i sent you. it has been resolved.

MC, thank you for reminding everyone to sign the back of their drivers license. In my family organ donation is at the top of our priority lists. My DH several years ago was very lucky enough to be blessed with 2 different transplanted organs, and they have helped to improve his health and life. We are thankful every day for the transplant that he received. He received a kidney and pancrease.

have been and organ donor now for over 20 yrs. it is personal top me too my aunt had gone into kidney failure when i was little and the only match was my father who insisted on giving her one of his against all medical odds. he was encouraged not to do it due to his health but insisted. they both did very well despite all the odds. it a wonderful gift......

OT: mc i hope you got my other e-mail as it has bounced back three times. if not call me.

My late little sister Lauri received a kidney from a deceased donor in

1990, and she was able to live for another 11 years (died at 31). I have my organ card right in the front of my wallet.

We will continue to keep Savannah's situation in our prayers, M-C!
