Savannah, GA LNS??

Does anyone here live in or near Savannah, GA? DSis will be here for a week the very end of Feb and we will be going to Savannah for a few days. I've never been there and wondered if anyone can recommend an LNS

-- and any other fun stuff to see or do? I'll look in the yellow pages online but I never really trust them :-)! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

The Crafty Lady is about an hour away in Statesboro. It has a bit of a lot of different types of needle crafts, but doesn't have a large selection in any particular craft. They are very nice people and will order what you want. I don't think I would drive out just to see the shop if I didn't have something else to do in the area. John

There is an LNS right in downtown Savannah called Twiggs of Savannah at 241 Abercorn St. It has been a couple of years since I was there while on vacation so there may have been some changes made. I found it to be a very small and sort of crowded feeling shop and its focus was more on needlepoint. What I really liked though was that they had some charts of local Savannah landmark buildings which is something I try and find when I visit a new city.

Thanks Beverly :-). The shop is still there -- at least it's still in the online yellow pages. I checked out the listings for needlework and found them. I'll let you all know if the shop is still there as the main reason I have for going to LNS in tourist areas is to get charts of local landmarks! CiaoMeow >^;;^<
