Request for "Good Stuff" for DSis

So, DSis phones me on Friday evening (26 Feb)-- two days before the cruise I took her on -- to tell me that the UPS delivery truck at work ran into her car while it was parked and totaled it! Now remember that this poor woman works at Dillard's selling stuff and is lucky to get all of her bills paid each month. This accident was totally the fault of the UPS driver. Of course, DSis will only get about $2,000 for her car because, while it was in excellent working order (proven by all of the receipts she has for car stuff), it still had about 111,000 miles on it and was probably about 10 years old (I think). VBS, DSis has NO IDEA how she will be able to afford another car on what she makes each month. So I am asking all of you to send just a tiny little spark of "good stuff" into the universe to help her manage to buy some sort of vehicle. I'm hoping that someone in her congregation will either have or know of someone who has some sort of old car that works OK and is willing to sell it for dirt cheap. She NEVER ask for help, always manages on her own and really, truly deserves just a little good luck this time round! Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

She's in Austin, TX -- phoned me tonight to tell me that UPS insurance will be giving her top dollar for her car. That's about $3,500 which will help. She works with a guy who is also in used car sales and he has offered to help her track down something that is servicable, runs good but might not look too spiffy. She doesn't give a tinker's dam about looks -- just wants something relatively reliable that's not a lot of $$. Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<
