Miracle for Savannah Crop

I've been working on creating a website for the event and runnig around getting corporate and local support. Unfortunately little Savvy is back in the hospital tonight. Because her liver isn't working, she is retaining lots of fluid even though she is on two diuritics and is what her mom calls a "pee monster". Right now the fluid around her organs is so bad that she is having trouble breathing, so they had to admit her tonight.

Please do take a look at the website at

and if you live anywhere near enough to come to the crop, please consider it. You can all bring a sleeping bag and an air mattress and sleep at my place, LOL. Or if a number of you can make it, I can see about getting a group rate at a nearby hotel. I'll also make sure that I set aside a few tables together for you guys for those of you who can come. I believe that we will be pricing the crop at around $45 for the whole day including meals, snacks and a whole lot of door prizes. The crop is set for Saturday, September 15th, in Brandon FL which is just West of Tampa off I-75. Ana has asked me to co-host the crop and should Savannah be in the hospital when the date of the crop comes, to host it. So I'm learning a whole lot about the requirements for doing a charity event held under the umbrella of a big charitable organization!

Anyhow, again thanks for listening to me ramble. I created the website last night and today and it is still a work in progress. Frankly I'm pooped and I still need to pack up the stuff I'm selling off at a scrapbook garage sale in the morning!

Hope you all have a great weekend,

This event is so wonderful, MC. You are such a wonderful, caring, giving person! My heart just breaks for parents who have to watch their children go through so much, especially someone so little.

Tabitha,

I was just thinking about you this morning. It's been a while! I'm going to be driving to see Shaun in Altamonte Springs this weekend. So far I think driving to St Pete is the farthest I've driven. I'm tinking that I might just have to drive down to Venice in the near future. After all I do owe your mom a meal!

I do hope that you and the other RCS members will consider coming to the crop! It is going to be awesome! We are getting quite a few donations so the door prizes, silent auction and drawing look like they will be quite interesting.

Hugs, M-C

M-C, It has been awhile. When you were posting to your other site I read everyday :) Wow. I hope you have a fun and safe trip. Sounds good to me :) Just let me know when :) We are planning on being out of town possibly August 10th through the 12th for our Anniversary. It will be good to see you again. Remember you have to plan on staying longer to see Eric :)

I will have to talk it over with Eric since it would depend on him driving me up that way and then turning around and driving back home. So keep me up to date with details and we will go from there.

You are doing a great job with this. Such a caring, selfless act. If only everyone in the world was like this...I read that you could use old cell phones to donate and it could help financially. I can't make it to the crop (a flight from Honolulu to Florida would be crazy) but I would like to send you my old cell phone. I was getting ready to scrap it when I read that you could use them. Where do I have to send it?

Thank you so much for doing this! That is so awesome! I have emailed you the address to send it to. Please do let me know if you get is as I'm having lots of problems replying to group messages via email and outlook express. Not sure what's wrong and don't have time to play with it right now!

My heart breaks too. How can someone not care, especially someone like me who had a child that needed multiple surgeries. And yet, even I can't imagine everything that Ana must be going through looking at her little princess!

Poor Savvy, she is at a point where she is scared of strangers and particularly women as most of the nurses she sees are women and they smile and coo at her and then stick her with needles. I am going with them to the Dr tomorrow at All Children's in St. Pete to see if she needs to go in again for another IV. It looks like they may have to do that on a weekly basis until the transplant. Poor baby, please pray for her. She will be 8 months this weekend. The plans for the crop are going well and I hope to add lots of stuff to the website after Ana and I speak tomorrow.

M-C.

Got it M-C. I'll have it in the mail soon. Glad I could help. I understand what is going on. I was sick as a child too and I (sort-of) remember how my mom was. It is a very difficult situation that no one should ever have to be in.
