OT: Anyone know how to merge two photos in Photoshop?

Am working on the February challenge, and am trying to merge "us" into a romantic background. I have OLD photoshop elements 2.0. But I imagine the tools are pretty comparable. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would copy one picture on top of the other using layers (in this case you two on top of the background you want). Then making sure that you are in the level that has the picture of the two of you, use the eraser tool to erase everything but the two of you from your picture. That should expose the picture that is underneath, giving you the background you want. To be as precise as possible, you might want to make the final erasures after zooming in.

That is how I do it, but there might be someone who knows of a better or faster way.

Use the lasso around the two of you, much quicker than eraser.

Thanks ladies.

I'll try again. I thought that was what I was doing. :)

Okay, got it to work tonight, though I honestly don't know what I did differently or if I'll be able to duplicate it in the future ! LOL. Thanks so much.
