ot:update

My life has been crazy lately! December went by in a blur. Catherine turned 3, Gary and I also each had a b'day throw in Christmas and you have one busy month that is both emotionally and financially draining! We are potty training with Catherine and we have some good days and more not so good days! This will be an interesting process. I had my eyes checked and I need to get glasses! I'm not sure how to feel about this, I don't even like wearing sunglasses for too long! Emilee goes back to school tommorrow as well Gary goes back to work. I have had them both home for two weeks so it will feel weird! I made Gary an album full of memories of Leo-our dog who was put down due to cancer earlier this year. It was hard to do(I kept crying) but went over well so I'm glad I did it but I look forward to doing some actual lo's soon! Hope all is well with everyone! Barb:o)

Barb, Your December sounded like mine. Birthday's within two weeks of Christmas should be outlawed! Of course I should talk, middle DD's birthday is Christmas Day, and her husband's is the week before. We had a new grandson born on the 16th and attended his brother's 4th birthday party on the 29th. Then the next Friday, Jan5th another birthday party for the granddaughter who turned 7. At least the two who have birthdays after Christmas are easier to shop for. We already know their wish list and so much is marked down after the holidays. I know exactly what you mean about the potty training. Of the three I started working with in November, I'm down to two. One of the girls finally decided she was a "big girl" and that was it. She's not had an accident since Christmas. Yeah!!! I always consider it a great accomplishment here at the daycare when I can pull off another name tag from the diaper shelf. (It's too bad she won't follow through at home - she is still giving them fits there) Good luck, Sandy

I hope things have started to slow down a bit Barb so you can make some time for you. We all need some "me" time!
