Our guild give quilts, toys and money to a family shelter all year around. Tonight, one of our members brought two quilt tops that were auctioned for the shelter.
One, made totally of batiks just rang my chimes. I got it for $160. Top and binding--it is full sized.
Could I have made it? YES!
Do I have the fabric? YES
Could I pass it up? NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Do I know what I'm going to do with it? NOOOOOOOOO
Oh well. The top is done and it is gorgeous!

Sometimes it is just GOOD to have something. It is pretty, you liked it enuf to bid on it, and it was MEANT to come home with you.
ENJOY IT. It's OK to buy yourself a gift just cause.
