I had 2 yard sales this summer. I do them only on Saturdays, because the potential customers around here like it that way. Anyhow it feels SO good to have gotten rid of all that stuff. I actually have a car in the garage as we speak!

I call them rummage sales! They are alot of work. I did one last year with my family. I had to take it all there and bring back everything I didn't sell. I only made like 30.00. It was too much work for that. I live out in the country so I can never have one at my house. So I have just been taking it to good will. They will even unload it from your vehicle. The other day I did finally put my first sale on eBay. I'm selling so of the kids clothes. So I guess that's like a rummage sale.

I had one two weekends ago. They are so much work. I made only $93 after considering it cost $29 to put the ad in the paper! With the temperature as hot as it has been, I felt absolutely exhausted when I called it quits. Good luck with yours this weekend!

A group of us got together at rented the shelter house at the park for Saturday for a yard sale. It was only $10 and it will be the same day as the Catfish Festival. Every person who goes to the festival has to pass the shelterhouse to get there. Hope it goes well. Sandy

good luck on having your sale! It is a lot of work, and hopefully will be worth it. The last time I had one, it was on a Friday and a Saturday, I had tons of stuff, and only sold $60 worth! I donated the rest of it to a church thrift shop, and vowed never to have one again! (Thats until we wind up with MORE stuff to get rid of by next spring..LOL) Linda C

My sister and I always find out when a neighbor is having their yard sale and then have ours on the same weekend...Fri and Sat. only. Our neighbor always puts an ad in the paper and we don't even have to bother since we live on the same street. We always make at least $200. We buy some poster board to make signs and that is it. We don't bother labeling anything so it usually is pretty easy.

I had a garage sale earlier this summer. It's the last one I swear! lol The only reason I did it was because I went out and bought a new living room set and needed to get rid of the old one. Thankfully I got it sold. Good luck RJ and you definitly have your work cut out for you. Around here you never see Sunday sales. They typically run from Thursday to Saturday. Mine are always Saturday only. Auctions, now that you see on Sundays. Those are always fun.
