Someone on this board shared a LO using the packing tape technique. I don't remember who it was. Hello are you out there?

I tried that on a picture I had and I think it has to be a certain kind of pictre. Mine didn't work at all.

Wasn't it actually a photocopy of a photograph April, rather than an actual picture? Marilyn

I saw that too! Wasn't it so neat? She did say to make sure you got a color copy from a copier with toner.

Irene...isn't this something similar? Gives a pretty good description of the procedure so thought it may help :o)

Yes it was me. It is the Feb challenge in my Challenge folder. I'm not sure if the tape is acid free or not. I put the tape strip at the bottom of the page so it isn't really near the other pictures on the page. It is really easy to do and looks pretty cool too.

You need to make a color copy of the picture or it won't work.

Cathy I really loved that LO of yours, that's why it rang a bell when Irene asked the question :). Is it correct that you must use copies from a machine using toner? Like a photo copy machine or laser printer? Also, how did you achieve all the different shades of the photo...did you edit it like that in advance?

You are right Judy the copies need to be done on a copier using toner. I didn't do any color adjustment on the picture. I just reduced the size of it on the copier so that it would fit on the tape. I might have copied it a little darker, but not much. I think some of the shading might have come from the pink background paper.
