Recipe Swap winging it's way to you

Everything has been sorted and mailed. I sent everything stateside priority mail. Canada and South Africa went Global Priority. I'm very excited for you all to see the great pieces of art.

Judy I FINALLY remember to pick up the Moneygram. I've been to Albertson's probably 25 times since you sent it and every time I came home and I'd stomped my foot, because I forgot to pick it up. There was a minor glitch in that it was in your husband's name I'm thinking. They said it was not Judy, but since I knew all the info regarding it and had the last name right they gave it to me.

Amy I don't think you thought you were being sneaky, but I totally didn't see the gorgeous fuzzy bunny you sent. It was in between the swaps and fell out as I was sorting. Thank you! It is the cutest thing.

I got several beautiful cards I'll have to scan. Thank you all.

M-C I'll be scanning the recipes and sending them to you as soon as I hear you've gotten yours in the mail. I don't want to ruin the surprise for you.

Lynne -- I wish I could take the credit for the fuzzy bunny, but I can't. Would the guilty party please setup forward.

I had thought more than once about putting a Hostess RAK in with my recipes; but as it was, I was scrambling to get the LOs in the mail on time.

Lynne's peeked my curiosity. The paper dolls on my LOs have pink bunny slippers. My DH thought I was nuts cutting out 22 little pink bunny slippers! LOL

Lynne, Got mine yesterday. This is my first recipe swap. They are great. Showed my sister, she was impressed. Sabrina - loved the monkey Kenda - can't wait to try the chocolate cake. I think I'm going to make on for the monthly crop on May 21st Barb - your sticky buns sound yummy. the ingredients are on my weekend shopping list already Amy - recipe sounds good. I love the paper folds, is there a website explaining how to do this. My sister wants me to learn so I can teach her how to do it. Jacqui - I remember this recipe. My grandmother used to make it when I was a kid. I'm glad to have it back. Can't believe you found the coca-cola font. Debby - I've had potato candy before, but not bread. Can't wait to try this one. Lynne - I kept looking to see what was making the noise. The yeast packs are so cute. M-C - great recipe, your embellishments are neat. Are the cookies made out of clay? Marley - my sister already copied your recipe and took it home. I'm hoping she brings back some cookies today. Just my type of recipe - leave in the oven and forget. I'm already famous for that one. I think my computer needs to be closer to the kitchen. I can't hear the timer on the oven from the office. love the bracelet. Judy - I knew the banana tart had to be yours! I love banana cake and banana boats, so I know I'm going to love this one as well.

Sandy -- Here is a link on how to paper fold boarders...

I came up with my own pattern and ultimately found it easier to pencil lines using a ruler, the cutting straight edges with a craft knife. Without a punch, I assumed straight edges were easiest. The consistant spacing and size of triangles was the tricky part...to far and the fold doesn't tuck, too close isn't good either. After 2 or 3, it became very repeatitive. I was able to do about 3 pages (two boards each) in about an hour.

The dolls took me about 2 weeks. Each doll has 10 paper pieces. The paper for the robe I made myself. I got the .gif file off the internet and use Paintshop to turn it into an 8.5x11 pattern. I WISH I'd seen Sabrina's monkeys before. I was struggling with out to make the bunny slippers look fuzzy and ultimately gave up. Chalk, just wasn't doing it. A pink torn fiber paper like what Sabrina used would have worked very nicely. I'll have to keep that in mind for next time.

Thanks and yes, Sandy! I made the cookies out of acid free air dried clay! The hardest part was mixing the stuff together to try and get a color that wasn't totally discusting! The added bonus is that it is very light, so great for a page.

Oh Goodie!!! Glad you got that moneygram Lynne and that it worked! First time I've done it and I was a bit worried. Yes, it was in DH's name, as he had his driver's license with him the day we did it and they needed identification...lol! Can't wait to see all the recipes!
