Rubber Stamp Wood Blocks

I found a fantastic use for the wood blocks from rubber stamps. I have been giving them to the older children in my daycare for their block box. They are already sanded and sealed and are free - and stack great! I've been peeling off my rubber stamps and using the ez mount to store the stamps in 3-ring binders. Can't believe the space I'm gaining in my scrap area. I emptied four drawers from my wooden card catalog cabinet of stamps and found out that my yellow, green and alphabet dies from my sizzix fit perfect in them. When they are set in I can even see the name on the side to be albe to pull out the one I need easily. I had been taking a small box of stamps with me to the playroom during free play and peeling off the stamps while the children play. One of the boys came over and asked for one of the blocks to help with the castle he was building. DUH! Why didn't I think of that before! We cleaned the sticky residue off with undu and I got rid of the grocery sack of blocks under my desk. I'm still peeling, but when I'm done I plan to organize the stamps on the mounting sheets so they are easier to find.

Sandy Not doing much scrapping right now, but am getting some organizing done.

i have a big bix of blocks too. I was peelig mine a while back and my daughter came over and wanted to play with them. I hadn't got the sticky off of them yet so my son was down on the floor with her and sticking them all over her. She was stunned and slowly pulling them off of herself. I took a few pictures of the incident!... It was cute.

I have been buying clear stamps lately. A lot of them.
