Scrapbooking Gift Basket

My wife is getting her creative juices flowing again and would like to do a scrapbooking gift basket. She was wondering if anyone would be interested in something of this sort. We figured this would be the perfect place to pose the question. She has done several different baskets the past few months, such as a dog-treat basket; one with flavored coffess & teas, assorted chocolates, and the such; a baby-girl & a baby-boy basket(one ina babydoll cradle); a bath & body gift basket: and things along those lines. The biggest difference in her baskets and everyone else's, is that she let's you decide how much you want to spend for the basket. You name the price & what kind, and she will put it together. But she is wanting to branch out, and seeing how many people are into preserving their heritage by scrapbooking, figured someone may be interested in a basket of scrapbooking goodies, maybe for yourself, or for taht perfect gift for someone who has it all. We have some pics if anyone is interested.

I love the idea and I think for a new scrapbooker it would be great. I don't think anyone could really get me an affordable scrapbook basket as I have so many tools and supplies already.

I have to agree..that would be awesome. It would be a great gift for the new scrapbooker. It so hard sometimes for them to decide what to get. That would be a neat idea. I even think it would be great for bdays and such for established scrappers. I'm always buying little scrapbook gifts for my friends..

It would be great as a baby shower gift. I've been doing that the past few years. I get a black pen, adhesive, an album, some refill pages, then a few baby stickers and paper. I haven't put it in a basket. I think that would be a great idea.

Thanks for all the nice replies. She is certainly looking forward to getting started on some new baskets. I even printed her some business cards. We have handed out a few, and have had a few replies and some prospective orders. I really hope she can get this thing off the ground, and give her some busy time, while she's waiting for some call backs on a full-time job. Thanks again,

Steve

If you have scrapbook stores in your community, they'd likely allow you to sell from their store (you'd want it cellophaned to keep thieves out of the basket. And if there are not scrapbooking stores or there is a rural community within reasonable driving difference, you could go to quaint markets or quilters shops, card shops (not Hallmark) and other gift shops and sell from their locations or take orders from their locations. All you've got to do is investigate these locations aforehand, write up a proposal and take a demo basket in. Ask for the manager/owner and away you go!

Best of luck!

Thanks for the info. The only scrapbooking store we have around here(now anyway), is Michael's. There were 2 smaller ones, but Michael's drove them out. We have to do some shopping around for someone who will let her set up at least a demo basket.

Years ago, I went into a needlework shop, and someone was there who did Longeberger basket parties. Obviously she had the owner's permission to be there, but she was trying to get people to book parties. She raffled off a basket at the end of the day, and didn't require that you book a party to enter the raffle. The reason I remember this is because it's one of the very few times in my life I've won anything. :-) Maybe a raffle and/or giving a gift basket to the owner might help.
