Secret Santa???

I was in the shower getting ready for work today when DD#2 yelled up the stairs "You have a parcel here from your secret Santa. There was a label on it saying what was in it, so I tore that off"

ARGH!!!!!!!

Well, I'm totally mystified as I didn't join in on it this year. I promise I won't open it until Christmas, but I sure wish I knew who it was so I could return the favor:>)

Anxiously waiting

It's still sitting there!:>)

And the only reason she thought to remove the label is because she's a real snooper herself! Even at 22 years old!!(LOL)

This is the first year I've seen signs of snooping through the hidden gifts here at my house. It's always my son's present sticking out of the sort of hidden bags. Due to the construction my hidding places are few right now. I was disappointed at first that he was seeing what we've gotten, but then I thought he's only ruined the surprise for himself. And who's to say it's ruined... the things he saw are things he's wanted, so he's probably pretty jazzed.

Just make him work to get the wrapping off. Three to four layers of wrapping paper should do it I think. LOL Thankfully we had all ours hidden way up high where the kids couldn't get to them. Now most of them are wrapped under the tree and DS, who's 3, asks when we can open the presents. :-)

That's why I for the last few years I've taken a picture, then wrapped the gift and put a label on it. Then I down load the picture to a special file (that is password protected) so I can keep track of what I've purchased. Worked great last year and this year not too bad. Next year we plan to get back on the plan for gift shopping...a gift or two each month then when December rolls around we just need to add the stocking stuffers....

LOL I know! One year I wrapped things as I brought them in & then I noticed that the tape didn't line up on one of the presents I had wrapped. I asked the girls if they opened their presents & they both said "No I didn't open my presents" Come to find out .they had opened each others! They knew I'd never think to ask that!!(LOL)

Awww, I miss those days:>)

Now that is a really neat idea. I'm definitely going to do that next year!!! Thanks for sharing Kenda!

After the opening each others episode, I stopped putting name tags on any of them. everything had a number & I had a master list. Christmas morning, the numbers all went into a basket & were picked one by one. The next # was picked by the one who had just opened a gift!

That was alot of fun so became a tradition after that:>)

Now THAT really IS creative! The kids must have been very frustrated the first time they saw that there were NO names on the presents!! LOL!

Isn't it funny your kids do something totally naughty and instead of getting mad you think "man that was really intelligent."

Really helped me keep track of everything. And I was able to purchase extra, wrap without labels then when we knew of someone in need it was already wrapped (I took a pic of the wrapped gift as well if it was an "extra", just so I'd know what it looked liek)

That's a pretty cool idea! I like that, too bad the boys aren't younger, that would be neat to try.

We did it rught up to last year when Maggie (the "baby") was 21.

The only reason we're not doing it this year is that it's just going to be Jim & I Christmas morning.:>(

That is going to be so wierd! We're going to DD#1's for Christmas dinner too, so I don't even have to cook dinner!:>( Very strange year.
