Is both the glass and bottle hollowed out?

As you have learned, they are not too had to make, just takes a little creativity and time and once you make one they are fun and rather addicting!!

Some of my shopping yesterday at Michael's they had some HUGE packages of that crafty foam in sheets in the clearance area. Of course I had to get some and the next time I make some/one I will try it. It has to be easier than cork!
