What happened or became of the idea of a "Birthday Keeper Upper"?
Since I have recently found the fascination and somewhat enjoyment of making cards, I would like to make one too!! I say that as I have SO MANY pictures to get scrapped that making cards, well know I will NEVER in this life get the pictures all scrapped!!!
Hi Marcie, My bday is Nov 26th, and it does land on Thanksgiving every few years, so does my sister, Nov 25th! ( I was always the 'turkey' of the family..LOL
Linda, both my brother and his wife were born on Novenber 25th, the same year and in the same hospital in Quebec City. Her dad and my dad worked together! When they met again, they were both young adults, my DB was living in France and my DSIL was visiting her father's family in Italy. She decided, goodness knows why to go and stop by and visit my mom, and the rest, like they say is history. They have now been together for nearly 30 years, have 2 teenage children both born, like their parents, in Quebce City where they moved back to after living in France for a few years. How wierd and wonderful is that!
As for me, being born April 2nd, I always tell people that I am no fool.!
My middle DD was born on Christmas Day. We wrap her birthday presents in birthday wrapping paper and put them under the tree, but she can't open any of them until the evening. That way they don't get lost in the Christmas shuffle and can't be a combined Birthday/Christmas present. We also do a DQ ice-cream cake every year in the evening. (Her choice). Sandy
HAHA Dave..guess what? My parents were married on Feb 16, the same year I was born (I was the honeymoon baby) and my sis was the 1st Anniversary baby! LOL Besides, what ELSE is there to do in the Midwest when it is too cold to go outside? hehehee!
