Started gluing!

The snap load by pionner are just great for really think albums with lots of pages, ask Deb, we put the album she did for her parents back together with those. Very adjustable, easy to use and you can put pages in and take them out from the front or the back in a jiffy. They are a little pricey at $5 or so per album, but I think well worth it. QVC was selling them back in January I think they put in enough for 4-5 albums in a kit together. I'm not sure if they still do.

M-C is right about the cardboard strips, and you don't know how many to use until you're done so making them is the best way.

One of the things that I do from time to time is free hand outline cropping around the focus of my pictures. Tends to be something people do in the beginning and then stop doing which I've never really understood. I've been scrapping off and on for 23 years and I still love the effect it can create on a page. With that said, Yes, corner rounders are awesome! Try the tuna can technique Sandy (I think) recommended, experiment, experiment, experiment. I'm sorry about getting glue in your eye, that must have been scary. I remember the first time I had a contact lense float to the back of my eyeball, I freaked! My mind was whirling and wizzing a mile a minute with what ifs. Glue in my eye, I imagine I'd have the same reaction.

Eh. I wear contacts too, and I do crafts at one of my jobs, so I get stuff in my eyes all the time. It usually just gets on my contact, irritates me, then I have to take out said contact, rinse it off, rinse out my eye, put it back in. It's washable glue, from a gluestick. No biggie.

Have you tried using an adhesive remover to remove the excess glue smudges? There's an adhesive eraser out, and I can't remember the name or brand right off hand. It's a yellow-ish looking square, about 1 1/2" and kind of bumpy. You should be able to find it at any craft store, probably in the same area the adhesives are. Hopefully someone can help out with a brand or name for the thingy I'm thinking of. Also, you might try an adhesive runner like the Hermafix Dotto or (my personal favorite) the Tombow brand mono-adhesive runner. They're really easy to use.

Lynne you can get screw posts of just about any size at the hardware store. They are in the section with the screws and nails. They are much cheaper than the ones you get at the scrapbook store.
