Got mine in the mail today. While at the Post Office waiting for 4 passport applications to be handled with 2 clerks I remembered I hadn't taken a picture of my tags!! HA! Then I remembered I accidentally made 16, so I still have 2 here to take pictures of.

April, they now have a passport card. It can only be used in sea-port entry from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. It can't be used when arriving via air. Here is a link with some info about the card and there is a pdf about the differences.

My tags will be postal on Monday. Sorry they are late! I have had them made for over a week.

I didnt know you could get a passport off the website..cool! I was going to go to the PO to get mine for the cruise. Linda

i will be on the loo k out for them and let you know when i get them..thanks. I got my passport at the PO cause i was told that if it was my first time i had to come in..if i was renewing it then i could do it over the internet..

You know I got to thinking that maybe for swaps a date for things to mailed "on" might be better than a date for things to arrive at someone's house. I'm always wondering how far in advance should I mail them to get to there. Now if you take this swap... everything needs to mailed by April 14th and then they can arrive when ever they get from my house to yours per the post office. One wouldn't have to worry about that aspect of the swap. I don't know maybe I'm the only one to be concerned about it.

Lynne, I think that's a great idea for swaps to have a postmarked by date instead of an arrival date. that would be so much easier to deal with. Especially since they are coming from all over the US and from rural and big city PO's. My opinion, Sandy

It seems so simple and yet it hadn't occurred to me until Cathy's swap. When she said mailing the swap "on" the 14th was OK to a couple of gals. And I thought that would be so much easier. Also if someone was unable to get their swap mailed by then you'd know right from the get go they'd have to hang onto their items for a future swap.

I did go to the site and check it out, and I will have to go in person since im a first timer! :-) Thanks for all the info!
