Thanksgiving!

It's not so much that it irritates me......but Son#1's Bday is the day before T-giving and Baby#2 is due anytime around thereafter and hubby's Bday is Christmas Day.

I hate shopping. That's all. If I could have a holiday season without the shopping or being shopped for, I'd be happier.

Hey, Theresa. If I were you, I'd go for it:>) Your kids certainly aren't old enough to know the difference.

My MIL passed the torch of Thanksgiving Dinner on to me 7 years ago. The first couple of years I needed her there guiding me along as I had absolutely no idea what I was doing...LOL. Now it is old hat. I really enjoy cooking Thanksgiving Dinner....it is the only time of year I really get to cook. My husband works nights so dinner is just my daughter and I...simple, quick meals. I love cooking the BIG dinner for everyone...we always invite any friends that have no where to go as well as all the family.

I serve Turkey ( buttered under the skin and cooked in a tent) stuffing - both in the turkey and out sour cream mashed potatoes gravy maccaroni salad potato salad cole slaw potatoe rolls candied yams marshmallow and fruit cocktail salad rellish tray ( carrots, celery and ranch, celery with cream cheese or peanut butter, sweet and dill pickles, black and green olives, jalepenio stuffed oloves) pumpkin pie apple pie sometimes a cream pie then family brings a dish if they wish as well like banana pudding ambrosia jello mold garlic vegetables ect...

Luckily my brother is not vegan. :-) He eats the corn and mashed potatos, rolls, etc. I couldn't handle no turkey or the dreaded to-furky!!!!
