I went to a friend's house today and we made a duct tape dummy of my torso. Not the full on one that's in the Threads magazine. This one is disposable. Since I was my wedding dress to have a corset type top, I'm going to cut up the dummy and trace it off on some paper. Add seam allowances, and that'll be my pattern. I think this wedding dress thing will be pretty easy!

What a sneaky, good idea!!! This will really show you, too, where darts and shaped seams will be needed. Do you get Threads? There is an article in the newest issue about bustiers. I think that would be a really big help on this project. Even if it's all stuff you know already, it would be good to have it reinforced. (I like reading stuff and seeing things I already know. Makes me feel really smart for that moment. lol)

I do get Threads! It was funny because the issue came the week after the proposal. It just seemed like perfect timing!!
