Have just returned from Vietnam. If anyone is going there, make sure a) you don't fly in using Vietnam Airlines, and b) you go to Hoi An with a huge list of fabrics and styles in mind (including fabrics that you think you'd never, ever find in such a hot country like Vietnam - eg, Italian Cashmire).
It's a to die for fabricaholics dream.

I'm afraid I really didn't have time to look at the prices of the fabrics as we were too rushed, it was the range and quality that hit me in the face. I haven't seen such stuff for decades.
We only bought 4 made up items from the place we went to. It was one that the Vietnamese guides took us to so we figured thay would be getting a kickback from this place and also this place wouldn't bargain at all (and that is just about unheard of). We assumed that we could have bought cheaper elsewhere if we had both the time and the inclination to go elsewhere.
However, having said that, I had made a pair of linen slacks with pockets and an elastic waist and two sleeveless, scoop necked linen tops (one matching the pants and one contrasting) with long invisible zips in the back for $US90. My husband had made a pair of trousers for $US35.
