Iron-on Crystals

May 22, 2005 4 Replies

I see these and want to put a couple or three in strategic spots on an embroidered design. I am not crazy about the idea of an iron to attach them......Isn't there a little heating device that allows you to place them better?

I am in the USA, and would love to know of a supplier of the crystals and the heating tool.

..............Or is it better to glue them on yourself??.......what kind of glue??

TIA!!

Go to Hancock Fabrics, I I work in one in OH) we have a fairly new item an iron and crystals , The iron is similar to a curling iron with different tips to fit different size crystals. The crystals are pre=glued with heat activated glue . You use the iron to pick up a stone and touch to place. I just got the ad today and notions are going to be on sale and I'd try calling it notion. Good luck

Those tools are relatively expensive unless you plan to do a LOT of crystal gluing. I use the Clover Mini Iron, which is much more versatile.

I've used those little guys and was amazed at how well they sit, even after washing. I use a regular iron.
