Marked!

Marked at last, marked at last! My bias lines are marked at last!

It's amazing how much faster things go after you lock the cat into the bedroom. I thought he'd be upset, but when I opened the door to let him out, he looked up and said "Be quiet; I'm trying to sleep."

Then I cut off the wrong corner to make a three-cornered scarf -- 60" where I wanted 43" -- so I'm going to have a *lot* more bias tape than I planned on.

Particularly since I'd cut more than enough tape before I figured out why the scarf didn't seem right.

The rest of the "handkerchief linen" is to become bias-cut underwear. As soon as I copy the pattern. I want the neckline from the version before last; easiest way to get it is to make a whole new pattern.

I admire your feeling, that we have to write about our `Sewing Experiences for generations to come` . I feel i learned a lot , from former generations, thus i should give it further. I am not tottaly sure, though that we loose the abilities. Many people, mostly Women, who are thrown out of the regular workforce[s], seem to find it in themselves and help both their own families` needs, But also start new kinds of businesses that incorporate Sewing [textile]crafts, with their Hight tech or managing abilities. mirjam
