My sewing room

At last my Horn sewing table arrived and we picked it up from the shop this afternoon. After the shock of discovering it weighed 70kg, we managed to get it into the car (luckily we have a Discovery) and laughed when the council ranger tried to book us because we were illegally parked. Don't know how he thought we could have walked any distance with that huge box! DH assembled it in minutes and it is now in my new sewing room. Not bad as we have only been in the apartment for 7 weeks. The table is white and looks great. I have worked out I want it by the window so that I can enjoy the view as well (we're on the 38th floor) but that means running an extension cord for the machine and light. Easily done when I find it!

Now I have no excuses for all those little repairs and other projects that have presented themselves over the last couple of months while we've been planning and doing the move. I can't wait to get back into it. First of all I have to stash all my sewing bits in the little shelves and racks etc. That will be a project in itself.

Hehehehe! Has he never heard of loading and unloading time? Even double yellow lines are OK for that in most places.

And a permanent socket should not be too hard to install, if allowed.

Oh yes! You will have such fun playing with all your stuff as you stow it, first here, then there... It takes me forever to load up a new piece of furniture!
