Next Spring Will Be Using Dress Shop Pattern Program

Why not now? Well, I've already lost over 100 pounds since February and still have 30 or 40 more to loose before I want some new more permanent clothes. Right now, I'm wearing mostly jeans and watching the sized come down. I've gone from a tight size 24 to a size 14 (just got into them yesterday).

I did this all for my health. I'm diabetic and have HBP. My meds are cut in half (thank you doctor) and my sugar levels are in the normal range for the fist time in "I can't remember how long". My energy level and ambition has increased, so I know when I'm ready.... I will follow thru on creating some new clothes with the program "Dress Shop" that I bought thanks to some recommendations from this sewing group.

So wanted to give you all the 'heads up' so that you'd know I'll be asking a lot of questions come next Spring.

Hope you all have a great holiday season and enjoy your family and friends.

Whee! Well done you!

I shed (never 'lost' - we worked hard at dumping it!) 70lbs and came down to a UK size 10/12. I'm up at a 14 with fluid retention at the moment, mostly on hips and knees, and aiming to sort that finally after Christmas. So I know how exciting it is to be in the normal size range again. A whole new wardrobe once the weight has stabilized is a good thing, but remember, even if you stay the same size, your shape will alter over the next year or two as you tone up and the skin shrinks a bit. HOW MUCH it shrinks will depend on your age (the yoinger the better!), your skin type (one time oily is good! Mine is dry, so not so helpful... ), and yor moisturising regime. Lots of massage with body lotion/massage oils help, as does lots of walking and swimming!

With the changing shape comes lots of new clothes! Start with some easy classic pieces you can never get tired of and get more adventurous when things settle. Make adventuous accessories to spice things up!

Mine is dry too, so I know what you mean. Right now, I'm getting a massage twice a month. And I just started swimming two weeks ago.

One of the things I've already gone back to is ... vests. I've always loved classic vests. One of the first things I want to make is a Princes Line coat.

Thanks for all the helpful advice.
