OT: the NY house and status of VA house - WOOHOO

Well, I was on the phone with the mortgage processor (well, on hold for her) and had our selling agent for the NY house beep in AND the rep from the moving company beep in. Had to call both of them back, so used the cell phone while still holding (I know, self-indulgent and all th at, but I couldn't hang up on Mara because of the nature of the question that I had).

Our selling agent said that she finally got the appraisal information (buyers are going FHA) and our selling price was definitely in the range for our house - WOOHOO!!! She said we were still waiting for pest inspection, but when i talked to Ken he reminded me th at it had already been done. Called her back and reminded her of that, so she went to check and then said we were just waiting for committment letter. Called me back less than 10 minutes later to say we had a committment letter and that we oculd officially consider our h ouse as sold!!! Sold sign will either be up tonight or by noon tomorrow!!

Then called the moving company back. I haven't mentioned all of this because it is too annoying, but the HR person (the one I briefly complained about) decided to play even more games and said that the moving company had to bill DHs company directly. Okay, whatever...well, the rep from the moving company was calling to say that the HR chicky had faxed over purchase order numbers for him to use, so all i have to do is sign the paperwork and send it back to him and we are good to go..WHOOHOO!!!

So, the sale of the NY house is complete. RIght now, I'm waiting to get an email regarding the home inspection for the new house, which I have to send to the processor. I also have to get the pest inspection done ASAP so that the processor can order the appraisal for the new house. I have already gotten the ball rolling on new home insurance and ar insurance, have copied all medical paperwork for the children to be sent to their new doctors office, have completed nearly all paperwork to register DS in kindergarten (waiting for medical form from most recent doctor), and in general, I am exhausted but I feel like celebrating.

Larisa, quietly doing a jig even though I really feel like just taking a nap.

Send some my way too. I need it. You're really cooking Larisa. Now when thisd is all done you have my permission to give you DH a little butt in the butt if he complains about all the work HE had to do to get you moved. Juno

Great news, Larisa. Sending energy waves over the water.

We had a little talk about that last night, Juno. Told him that it has gotten to the point a few times where I was going to say, "If you want this move done differently, YOU take over all the details!" He laughed and said after nearly 8 years of marriage, he knows better than to do that because: a) he values his wife, b) he values his life, and c) he knows he would NEVER be able to get everything done. Smart man, huh?

As for bottling energy, tried to figure out how to do it, and can't think of anything. Morning routine is 1 cup of coffee, get the little one set up with toys and sometimes Dora videos, get the older one off to preschool (get him to get room cleaned, eat breakfast, pick up toys from other rooms, take his medicine, etc.), then start on phone calls and emails and copying. That's pretty much been my routine for the past few weeks, with the occassional break for house cleaning and fabric fondling.

Last night, I had nearly 3 hours to myself because DH kicked me out of the house. He said I was too stressed and I was getting back to how i was when he and I first met - not pleasant to deal with. So, after the kids were settled for the night, I took off and wandered. Bought some shadowbox frames so that I could put things togehter for DS (karate belts and such), some beads for making bracelets, books for DD, switched to another store, got a toy for DS, then to grocery store for things we had run out of, then home.

DH and I went through all the paperwork for the new house and he signed where he needed to sign. I have a few calls that I'm waiting to have returned, but other than that, I'm pretty much done for the day with house stuff. However, both children are dealing with allergies and such, so they are not being the best, but it's okay, I can handle it.

I'm hoping that, since I've done all the house stuff that I can, that I might actually be able to get laundry done, or maybe vacuum the upstairs...something that I have been putting off with all of this craziness going on.

Larisa, wondering how the house can get so trashed in such a short time, and again, pointing out that there is only 1 cup of coffee fueling all of this...lol
