The bevel gear on the above machine is defective and needs to be replaced. The gear is on the bobbin end of th horizontal shaft. I have removed the retaining clip and loosened all set screws but the shaft will only slide about 1/4 inch which is not enough to remove the gear. Does anyone have any suggestions before I junk th machine?
