Hello All, Just wanted to update everyone. My pumpking wall hanging is all s ewn together. I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and brought the black felt need ed for the eyes, nose and mouth. I will probably cut these out today and ge t them appliqued. That just leaves the border, backing. batting and binding . Meaning this time a trip to JoAnn's. The pattern for this is in McCalls Quick Quilts, Aug./Sept. 2014 issue. Page 24 in case others here might want to make it. My summer night gown has been sewn together and I have basted the arms and neck facings, so am reading to sew these together. That will jus t leave the Hem. I cut the night gown pattern 4 inches longer because I ha te a short gown where when you put it on it hikes up around your waist whil e getting into bed. Of course the guys like this. Laughing, laughing. Sandy$

So, you are getting Thanksgiving/Halloween decor done in February? When do you start on Christmas/Hanukkah?! ;-)
Apparently you have things under control, well done.

Hello Barbara, I have a wall hanging from many years ago for x=mas. It is a festive Christmas tree using several Christmas colors. When I moved I gave almost a years worth of wall hangings to a friend, she made a quilt for the needy out of them. Not bad for recycling. Sandy$

Hello Beverly, I forgot to put your name on my last reply with Barbara. My pumpkin w all hanging was started last fall but moved within the city, so was put on the back burner you might say. Wanted to finish it before starting a new p roject. Just wanted to say that under alt.sewing on my computer there is a sen tence that says "a group not as it seems." Can anyone on this newsgroup ex plain it. Sandy$
You are probably reading this group on an ad-laden archive (inspirepoint.com?), and it actually says "Sewing Discussions A group that is not as it seams. " a pun. You would do better subscribing to the group using a real news service. Try eternal-september.org:
