I recently bought a jar of Antiquities embossing powder (terra cotta color) from a store I don't usually frequent. I have not used this brand before. I was puzzled because when I tried to use it it didn't melt at all -- it stuck in place when I heated it, but didn't behave the way other brands of embossing ink have behaved. Is this a characteristic of the Antiquities brand, or is this a bad bottle? My friend says that some powders are meant to do that, but I don't see the point of embossing with something that simply sticks but doesn't melt. Or am I being narrow minded?
