I'm reviving a salvaged Singer 15 clone (Universal brand, "Deluxe Family Sewing Machine"). It's missing a thumbscrew on the rotating plate that sets the stop for the stitch length lever. I expected the thread in the plate to be traditional, say 4-40, since it's a clone of a US designed machine produced in Japan. After trying a few screws none fit correctly and I'm starting to wonder if it's metric.
The machine is in rather nice shape and seems to work well, so I'd rather not butcher it
