i know you have a new embroidery machine..and softwear...
my softwear is 8 years old--PE Design version two or three...so, what softwear are you using, and do you digitize? if so...ease of use, all those good things for idiots like me
Well, it was new four years ago, so I suppose it's still "new"... ;-)
My machine is the Singer Quantum XL5000. I finally bought PSW2.0a software and the reader-writer box. I use it extensively for digitizing, but mostly for my own pleasure and for projects like the soccer warm-ups for DGD's team:

and my denim shirt with Celtic knots:

as well as several Disney (shhhh, don't tell anyone) designs for my personal use.
The instruction manual is frightful...translated from something (Greek?) into English by a not-fluent translator, and never proofread IMHO. However, using a lot of trial and error, I have worked my way up to creating quite a few original designs, and they have stitched out well. PSW has the ability to "save as" several mainstream embroidery formats. There are several PSW packages offered right now on eBay at under $600, I bought mine for $1200. Here is a link to information about PSW, (the Singer site is lacking):

\ I also own an activated copy of Embird basic, but I have not paid for their digitizing option:

I like Embird for many things, but for actual digitizing I use PSW.
Nice work! i think i'm going to have to go and look at some programs. i admit to not being patient with computer stuff . i'm going through this process, when all i really want is someone to digitize something for me
I have been known to offer to digitize original (non-copyrighted) designs, and I could give yours a try provided you can wait until after the first of the year. Send me a .bmp or .jpg, I'll give it a look-see. My e-mail works, just de-munge it:
i'd like to wait until after the holidays to get this to you...is that ok??? It is an original design (the barn logo for my daughter's trainer....) essentially it's a heart with a blue ribbon...the name of the farm is fire blue farm.
I'm ready any time now to take a look at your logo, just give me a heads up here on r.c.t.s that your e-mail with attachment is on the way. Also, I'll need to know what embroidery format to "save as". We can discuss the other details by private e-mail.
