Hello, group. I'm looking at restoring a lathe, and need information regarding some of it's parts. Specifically, the drive spur that seems to be stuck, and stuck pretty good, in the shaft. I'm _assuming_ it's a tapered type. I've used penetrant and a little heat. Also tried backing out the nut that's on the shaft, tight to the spur's backside, and tapping judiciously. Is the frozen piece accessible from the other side, as in through the shaft? Maybe put a drift through the shaft and have at it? Tom Work at your leisure!

Thanks for the link to Ace, George. The schematic is much more legible than Delta's site offers. Tom Work at your leisure!
Yes. Start lightly. A good rule of thumb throughout.
