Good, but I would get a cup center. I have had _much_ better experience with it over the single point. Kids catch a bit and it walks away in the end grain, something a cup center won't. It will also walk away in the absence of a catch if the tailstock creeps a bit while turning, and is much more difficult to recenter than a point inside a circle.
