Hello, I am tentatively branching out into wood carving. Can you folks suggest a few beginner books or videos to get me started. I hope to carve some of my bowls as well as a bit of relief carving. Thanks to all.

Tough to go wrong with any of the books by this team.

In addition to George's suggestions, check out Chris Pye:

Lots of good information online, and an opt-in newsletter too.
Hi Kevin
Carving on turnings by Chris Pye is good, and another one "Sculpting wood beyond the lathe" by Trend Bosch is also a good one and you could look at Jacques Vesery and also Andi Wolfe for inspiration.
Have fun and take care Leo Van Der Loo
